The Tamiya Fiat 500 1/24 scale kit is probably one of the best way to start. Tamiya makes some of the best kits in the industry...what am I saying, they are the benchmark with which all others are judged. You will get a great kit with little or no flash, lots of detailed parts and clear cut instructions on how to build it.

This build will be straight forward. No big modifications, but I will probably add a few extra details, just to keep things interesting. Tamiya kits are more expensive than others, but they are worth every penny. Before starting anything, I will do some research on the subject. The internet gives us access to all the information we will ever need. Flickr is a great way to find some images amongst the many sources out there. I haven't even decided on the color yet!

So if you want to start building and want to know with what, this is a great way to go. Well made kit, not too big and easy enough for any beginner. Remember, keep it simple.

Gerry
